Obituary of Donato Mancini
Surrounded by the love of his family, peacefully at the St. Catharines Hospital on Saturday, November 26, 2022 in his 88th year. He is now reunited with his wife of 66 years, Adele (2022). Loving father of the late Peter (2020), Rino (Nicola), and Dino. Devoted Nonno to Julia (Mike), Daniel (Amanda), Lisa, Alex, Christopher (Jenna), Anthony, the late Matthew (2013), and Paul. Great-Nonno to Stella and Matteo. Lovingly remembered by his sister Santina (the late Giovanni), and predeceased by his sister Lina (Giuseppe), and brother Peppino. Donato will be missed by his many nephews, nieces, cousins, and extended family in both Italy and Toronto.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 7th, 2022 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. Vigil prayers will be held at 3pm at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 8th, 2022 at St. Alfred’s Roman Catholic Church with entombment to follow. Flowers gratefully declined. If desired, donations to the Box Run in Donato’s memory would be appreciated.
