Obituary of Donald Howard Baker
Peacefully passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Patricia (2007) and special friend of Donnie Love. Cherished father of Murray (Louise) of Fenelon Falls, late Edwin (2007), Brent of Blackfalds, AB, Diane of Espanola and Colleen (Nancy Youngson) of London. Proud grandpa of Jon Baker (Stacey), Jennifer Whittington (Jay), Chris Baker (April), Heather Haines (Jasper), Cullen Baker of Victoria, BC and Jase Baker of Blackfalds, AB. Great grandpa of Paityn, Maverick, Emily and Julianna. Special friend of Sandy Ross (Bev). Brother of Merla Horner (late Keith) and the late Doug Baker. Special cousin of Dorothy Gill of Trenton. Don will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.
Don was born in Dean Lake, Ontario which gave him his love for the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and always enjoyed sharing that love with his family and friends. Don was a proud member of the Orange Lodge.
A private spring inurnment will take place in Iron Bridge. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society of Sault Ste. Marie, FJ Davey Home Foundation or the charity of choice would be greatly appreciated. A heartfelt thank you to the 3rd floor Cedar Grove staff at the FJ Davey Home for their great care and compassion.
