WILSON, Donald James
Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at his residence in New Hamburg, Ontario. Don was born 86 years ago, son of the late Edwin & Beulah Wilson.
Predeceased by his loving wife Joyce (Butson) Wilson. Loving father of Bob Wilson, John Wilson & Kevin (Alisha) Wilson. Proud Grandpa and Great Grandpa of Brad, Mandy (Harry) and their children Mackenzie and Madisyn Wilde, Samantha and her children Maliya and Dallas Wilson, Nicholas and Lindsey Wilson.
Don will be remembered by his brother Harvey Wilson, his sisters in law and brothers in law Mary Lou Wilson, Reg Butson, Donna Butson, Esther Butson and George Anderson as well as his many Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and extended family.
Predeceased by his daughter in law Nancy Wilson, his brother’s Doug, Geordie, Ken and John, his sisters Jean and Bernice as well as his brothers in law and sisters in law, Larry and Mae Butson, Gerry, Donnie and David Butson, Diane Boyd, Joyce Workman, Iris Wilson, and Sylvia Butson.
Don enjoyed spending time with his family, watching the Toronto Blue Jays, Toronto Maple Leafs, Wrestling and listening to old country music. He also enjoyed going to the horse races, his transport trucks and plowing snow. While the boys and grandchildren were growing up, he enjoyed going to their sports events.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will take place at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron Street, new Hamburg, on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, from 11:00 – 1:00 p.m. A Celebration of Don’s life will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. with Brianne Jourdin officiating.
