Obituary of Dian James
James, Sheila “Dian”
It is with sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Dian James, surrounded by her loving family, on December 7th, 2022 in her 78th year. Dian was the beloved wife of the late Delmar James (2012). Loving and devoted mother of Howard (Bernice) James, late infant twin daughters, Tammy-Lee and Brenda-Lee (1963), and Jim James. Dian was the special grandma of Samantha James (Todd Leblanc), Andrew James and Cassie (Nicholas) Deakin. Great-grandmother of Domonick Leblanc, Brooke-Lyn Leblanc, Donovan Leblanc, Aleczander Leblanc, and Addison Deakin. Dian is survived by her siblings Barb (late Roy) Herrington, Lenny (Tammy) Wagner, Cheryl Yacks and Jerry (Monica) Wagner. Predeceased by her parents Norm (1974) and Eleanor (2007) Wagner, and her brothers George (1983) and Allan (2010) Wagner.
Dian will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends. She will be remembered for her great sense of humour and her love of gardening. Dian was always caring for her family who she adored the most. In previous years, Delmar used to refer to Dian as “The Warden” for constantly keeping an eye on everything and everyone at any given time.
Dian was a dedicated member of the Strathroy Legion Branch #116 for many years. She and her family were members of the St. John’s Anglican Church, Strathroy for many years. Dian will be missed by all.
At a later date, there will be a private family ceremony held. As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Online condolences and donations made be left at www.strathroyfuneralhome.com. Arrangements entrusted to DENNING’S OF STRATHROY.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Dian
