Derrick Paul Harrison
1936 – 2022
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Derrick Paul Harrison of St. Albert on February 24, 2022 at the age of 85 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years Mary; sons, Nigel (Lynne) and Ian (Kinawa); daughters, Kathy (Tim) Kendrick, Claire (Jim), and Rachel; grandchildren, Jonathan, Adam, Dana, Alexandra, Jennifer, Nicholas, Danielle, Joel, Stephanie, Ruth-Ann, Aurora and Everest; great grandchildren, Jean and Eveline.
Derrick and Mary immigrated to Canada from Yorkshire, England in 1975 with their five children, and lived in St. Albert since 1980. Derrick was active in the local garden club, growing plants from seeds for his own garden as well as giving away many seedlings to friends and relatives. He was very active in Holy Family Parish, he helped to plan and build the church in 1991, was a Knights of Columbus member and was active in many church ministries all of his life.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 12:30 pm at Holy Family Catholic Church, 75 Poirier Ave, St. Albert, AB.
