Dennis Richard Carder passed away peacefully on November 11, 2022 at Grand River Hospital with his niece Amanda and brother Doug by his side. He was 67.
Dennis was predeceased by his parents Alice and Leslie Carder and his brothers Bradley, Frederick, and Gregory. Survived by his siblings David (Gail) of Waterloo, Janice, Doug (Robin) of Kitchener, Rodney (Edwina) of Alma, N.B., Jacqueline (Ray) of Schelt, B.C, and Robbin (Enzo) of Tomball, Texas. Dennis was an uncle to 13 nieces and nephews, and a great-uncle to 25 nieces and nephews.
Dennis loved golf and hockey and would attend the Siskins and Rangers games religiously. He was a wonderful friend to so many and left his mark wherever he went, especially with his friends at Morty’s Pub where he could often be found having a pint. Dennis always greeted you with a smile and a pat on the back. He loved to travel annually to Cuba. He was a longtime employee at Loblaws, Cambridge, ON. Dennis will be greatly and forever missed by all! Go Islanders Go!
The family would like to thank Grand River Hospital and the staff at Morty’s Pub for their care of Dennis. A Visitation will be held at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, November 16th from 2pm – 4pm and 7pm – 9pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 17th at 11am in the Funeral Home’s Chapel. Interment of ashes to follow at Parkview Cemetery. A Livestream and recording of the service will be available on the funeral home’s website.
