Obituary of Dennis Morgan Malloy
TRENTON – Dennis Morgan Malloy, 69, Trenton, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, March 16, 2022, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by his family.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Thomas Arthur Malloy and Mary Susanna (Malcolm) (Malloy) Simpson. Dennis was employed with the former Maritime Steel for over 35 years. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his wife and children. Dennis possessed a “big heart” and was the “pillar” and protector of his family. He leaves a rich legacy of love.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Florence (Pettipas); son, Dennis Malloy Jr., Trenton; daughter, “his little girl”, Tanya Malloy (Richard), New Glasgow; sisters, Ann Rhodes, Trenton; Ina Baker, New Glasgow; brothers, Mike (Darlene) Malloy, Linacy; Reuben (Jane) Malloy, Westville; Robert (Bessie) Simpson, New Glasgow; sister-in-law, Karen Malloy, Thorburn; several aunts; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his stepfather, Robert Edward Simpson; sister, Patricia “Pat” Morrison; brothers, Howard Malloy, Thomas “Tom” Malloy, Meryl Jordan, and a brother in infancy; brother-in-law, John Morrison; several aunts and uncles.
In honour of Dennis’ wishes, his family will celebrate his life privately.
