Delina’s Obituary
COMEAU, Delina – Age 102 of La Villa Acadienne, Meteghan, formerly of Little Brook, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022 in La Villa. Born in Concession, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Aimée (Deveau) Theriault.
Delina is survived by her daughter, Marie Comeau (Mike), Little brook; granddaughters, Leslie Woolaver (Jonathan MacInnis), Dartmouth and Jillian LaFramboise, Cap-Pelé, N.B.; great-grandchildren, Elias, Jacques and Lauren MacInnis; numerous nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Bernard; brothers, Volusien, Léo, Louis, Radolphe and half-brother, Pierre; sisters, Maria, Elizabeth, Pauline and most recently, twin sister Delphine.
Delina was a homemaker raising her daughter Marie while helping her twin sister Delphine with her seven daughters. She was kind, generous, practical and had a subtle sense of humour. A devout Catholic, she drew strength from her faith. She was an avid reader in her younger days and remained genuinely interested in the world around her right to the end. We were lucky to have her for so long; she filled our heart with love and will be dearly missed. Her granddaughters were spoiled with Sunday lunches of rapûre, fricôt and batches of peanut butter fudge.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Meteghan Funeral Home. Due to the current provincial pandemic restrictions, private visitations, funeral service and burial will take place and a mass will be held in Delina’s memory at a later date for extended family and friends.
