1952-2022
The death occurred at her late residence in Borden-Carleton
on Tuesday,
November 22nd, 2022, of Debbie Joan Bernard
(nee Campbell) age 70.
Born in Borden-Carleton on August 12th, 1952, to the late
Edmund and Genevieve
(nee Kilbride) Campbell. Beloved wife
of 50 years to Danny Bernard and cherished
Mother of
Christine Wormald (Terry Savoie), Danielle Ulmer (Lanny), Nicole
Arsenault (Jeremy), Jennifer MacEachern (Brent), Holly Bernard
(Dustin
Greenwood) and her loyal fur baby,
Benji.
She was the proudest Grandmother to Hailey, Morgan, Emma,
Brady, Jake, Avery,
Lexie, Lincoln and Daxton. Nothing made
her happier than being around her
littlest
loves.
Survived by siblings; Deina Smith (Louis), Louise Jay
(Raleigh Barry), Bruce
Campbell (Ann), Scott Campbell
(Virginia Kersey), Laurie Leard (Steven), and
Shawn
Campbell (Brenda). In-laws Urban Allen, Barrie Bernard, Howie
Bernard
(Charlotte), Ricky Bernard (Anne Marie), Pame
Brunet, John Bernard (Beryl) and
Wayne
Reeves.
Predeceased by Mother-in-law Rita Bernard, siblings Anna
Marie Reeves and
Colleen Campbell, sisters-in-law Donna
Bernard and Joann Allen, brother-in-law
Blake Bernard and
nephews Joel Smith and Justin Hunter. Also survived by many
nieces and nephews who she absolutely loved and adored.
Debbie will be remembered as a kind, loving, giving person
who was always
willing to volunteer or help with anything.
She was an active member of the CWL for both Sacred Heart and
St Peter’s Churches as well as a member of the
Borden-Carleton Branch #10 Ladies Auxiliary. She was always baking and
donating to people/organizations in need.
She was her children’s biggest supporter, and they
will miss her more than words
could ever
say.
Debbie worked hard her whole life up until an injury stopped
her at the age of 64.
She spent over 20 years at Cavendish
Farms before moving to Confederation Cove Mussels, and then
on to Atlantic Beef, where she worked for over 10 years.
She made some lifelong friends along the way who she talked
about often. Debbie will be greatly missed by
all.
Memorial donations in Debbie’s name can be made to
the PEI Humane Society.
Visitation at Lawless Funeral Home on Sunday, November 27
from 2 to 5 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday,
November 28, at St. Peter’s church, Seven Mile Bay at 10:30
a.m. Arrangements entrusted to Lawless Funeral Home,
Kinkora.
