Dawn Beatrice Barrett (Stone)
April 8, 1937 – April 7, 2022

Dawn Beatrice Barrett (Stone)
It is with great sadness that the family of Dawn Beatrice Barrett announce the peaceful passing of their beloved mom, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt, on April 7, 2022, one day before her 85th birthday. She is now resting peacefully with her late husband Ken Barrett.
She was born on April 8, 1937. She was the oldest child of the late Alden Stone and Beatrice (Wood)Stone. She grew up in Lower Sackville. She moved to Beaver Bank and has resided there since she married Ken in 1957.
Dawn is survived by her children, Donna (Mike), Judy (Alan), Kevin (Angie) and Steve; and her grandchildren, Heath (Nicole), Caitlin (Steven) , Austin (Sam), Calvin and Julian; and her great-grandchildren, Harper and Daxton. She is also survived by her sister Glennie (Lee) Porter, brother David (Fran) Stone and heart sister (cousin) Margie Gibbon. In addition to her parents and husband, Dawn was predeceased by her son Robert (Bob) and sister Betty Lively
Dawn was a homemaker, wife, grandmother and great- grandmother. She was a kind, generous, and caring person. Dawn and Ken loved to travel and spent many winters in Florida with family and friends. In the summers, they could be found with their friends and family at their trailer in Hubbards. She had fond memories of those times and especially with her cousin Margie and their laughter-filled adventures. Dawn was known for her gardening during the summer months and her love of animals. Dawn spent the last four years of her life at the Madeline Assisted Living and could be found doing her word searches. We will sadly miss her every day, but she will be forever with us in our thoughts, heart, and prayers. We find comfort knowing that mom is at peace in a world of eternal life.
A celebration of life for both Dawn and Ken will be held later due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns. Dawn’s family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at the Madeline who provided a caring and loving home for Mom. Donations can be made in Dawn’s memory to the Church of the Good Shepherd (Beaver Bank) or the SPCA. Online condolences by visiting www.dartmouthfuneralhome.ca
