We are saddened to announce the passing of David Thomas George Warriner in Vernon, BC on February 24th, 2022.
Born in Big River, Saskatchewan, He was a proud Veteran who served with the Canadian Army for 35 years, a loyal member of the Royal Canadian Legion, and a loving husband and father.
He was a larger-than-life man with loud opinions but was also a big teddy bear who would cry at the drop of a hat.
David is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Sandy: his five children, their spouses and 9 grandchildren, Jennifer (Clint & Emma), Kimberly (Jake, Devon & Nick), Samantha (Ryan, Zoe, Abby, Lincoln & Oliver), Adam (Rachel, Aiden & Logan) and Tiffany (Jason). As well as his siblings, extended family and comrades from the good old days.
To Dave – family was everything (whether related by blood or by circumstance). Dave is predeceased by his parents, Tom & Barbara Warriner. His brother Johnny, sisters Linda & Susan and his nephew Tom. As well as his in-laws, Ed & Esther Prescott, his sister-in-law Geraldine and his niece Carrie.
He also fondly remembered many people he served with who we are sure will be there to greet him as he wanders into the next chapter.
At David’s request, no funeral service will be held. We will inform about a celebration of life at a later date.
Any donations should go to the Royal Canadian Legion or a Veterans association please in honour of David’s service and commitment to helping Canadian Veterans and their families.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of David Thomas George Warriner February 24th 2022..
