Rev. David James Sober- May 18, 1943 – July 14, 2022
We are sad to advise that Pastor David James Sober passed away and went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 14th, 2022, at Victoria Hospital in London, age 79. He leaves behind his wife, Carole; two children (Jacqueline and Philip); two stepdaughters (Jennifer and Elizabeth); also, eight grandchildren. He was President of Rescue the Perishing Ministries which he established with his wife, Carole, working with street children and establishing three-day care centres in Bolivia. He pastored The Free Methodist Church in Thamesford and The Congregational Church in New Liskeard. He also enjoyed the position of Chaplain at Maple Grove Christian Retreat Centre in Thamesford. He enjoyed singing gospel music and leading worship. Recently he was the author of the book, entitled, “The End Times”. At David’s request cremation has already taken place. No flowers, please. If desired donations can be made to Maple Grove Christian Retreat Centre or favourite charity. A Celebration of Life will be held at Hi-Way Pentecostal Church, 584118 Beachville Rd Ingersoll (Centreville) on Sat Aug 13th at 12:00 noon followed by a luncheon at the church. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Brock and Visser Funeral Home. Expressions of love and sympathy may be placed and viewed online at www.brockandvisser.com
