Obituary
After an eight-year battle with cancer, David has gone hunting and fishing permanently.
He was third generation born and raised on Walker’s Point/Barlochan. David was an avid bushman, hunter, trapper and fisherman and passed his love of the outdoors to his large extended family, who were there for him as he left for his last journey.
David leaves behind his loving wife, Donelda; his children Jason Hayes (Susan), Wayne Hayes (Joy), Karalee Hayes, Sarah McIntyre-Hayes, Jeremy McIntyre-Hayes, his step- children Jason Kruckel, Jeremy Kruckel (Lyndall); grandchildren Dillan Hayes, Samantha Hayes, Katarina Kruckel, Daniel Hayes, Emma Smith, Gabe Hayes, Cole Kruckel, Connor Kruckel, Hunter McIntyre-Lewis, and Hayden McIntyre-Lewis.
David was a dear brother to Roy Hayes (Bonnie), Dale (Hayes) Staples (Eric), Vera (Hayes) Campbell (Dennis); half brother to the late Irvine Schell, and the Hazel (Schell) Franklin. He will also be missed by his large extended family and many, many cherished friends.
Safe Journey.
A Celebration of life to follow at a later date.
