Craig, David Paul, 65, passed away May 1, 2022, at his home in Winlaw, BC surrounded by family after a quick battle with cancer.
David is predeceased by his mother Aileen and brother Alan. Survived by his wife Annette, Children Kevin, Bonnie, Amber (Cole), their mother Laura, grandchildren Grayson and Theodore, his father Donald and brother Robert, Nephews Lee (Stephanie) Ryan (Emilie)
David was born and raised in Calgary, AB where he graduated from Henry Wisewood Highschool. David found his calling in sales, working for several years as a milk man for Palm Dairies. He enjoyed building relationships with his customers, many becoming his friends. During this time David married Laura and welcomed their three children.
David then moved into the automotive industry spending most of his years at Renfrew Chrysler. He excelled in his role of wholesale parts salesman, enjoying multiple Chrysler trips for making top sales across Canada. David married his second wife, Annette in 1995 and they continued to build a life together, including purchasing their beautiful property in Winlaw where David spent his short retirement.
David was always happiest when he was outdoors and away from the hustle of city life. In his younger years he loved hunting, especially with his cousin Terry. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, and relaxing by a fire. David was always the first to crack a joke and was known for his great sense of humor, which he kept to the very end. But most of all, David loved his family and his friends, deeply and wholeheartedly.
No formal funeral will be held as per David’s wishes, however there will be a Celebration of Life held in Calgary, AB details to follow. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Veterans food bank or KAAP Kootenay Animal Assistance Program.
