NICKERSON, David Adams – 73, of Wood’s Harbour, It is with great sadness that the family of David Nickerson announces his peaceful passing at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital on Thursday, January 27, 2022, with his son by his side. Born at Woods Harbour on August 1, 1948, he was a son of the late Henry and Alice (Sears) Nickerson. David absolutely loved his family above all else and enjoyed getting together with them all. He loved to travel and just go for drives. He also was an avid camper, loved looking for deer, and he loved to feed people and make sure they were enjoying themselves. David will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Judy (Quinlan) Nickerson; children, Rose (Bubby) Townsend, Jacqueline (Troy) Nickerson, Patty (Douglas) Mood, Martin (Krista) Nickerson; grandchildren, Bobbi-Jo, Ryan, Jordan, Falon, Christen, Kayla, Alissa, Jocelyn, Amelia; great-grandchildren, Bensen, Bella, Brette, Hayden, Parker; step-grandchildren, Justine, Brittany, Erica; and step-great-grandchildren, Sydney, Zane, and Zander. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by siblings, Cleveland, St. Clair, and Frances. The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses at the dialysis unit in Yarmouth for their compassionate care as well as all the other care workers, VON, doctors and nurses that have been in Dad’s life over the years. There will be a visitation held, Monday, from 6-8 p.m. at the H. M Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, February 1, at 2 p.m. at the Woods Harbour Wesleyan Church with Pastor Tim Conrad officiating. In keeping with provincial Covid-19 guidelines, proof of double vaccination is required to attend the visitation and funeral service. The wearing of masks and social distancing guidelines must be observed. Interment to follow in the Greenwood Cemetery, Woods Harbour. Memorial donations may be made to the Renal Dialysis Unit in Yarmouth Regional Hospital.
