Darryl Seigner, 58, of Mitchell passed away surrounded by his family at his residence on Friday, September 2, 2022.
Beloved husband of Michelle (Rose) Seigner. Dear father of Brittany Hagarty (John) and Jordan Seigner (Elsa). Loving grandfather of Hannah and John. Dear son of Gail Seigner and the late David Seigner (2015). Dear brother of Kim Seigner-Baker (Peter), Rob Seigner (Laura) and Geoff Seigner. Dear brother-in-law of Nancy Ellens (Chris), Carol Wettlaufer (Maurice), Randy Rose, Juanita Reevie (Andy). Also surviving are his nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his father-in-law and mother-in-law Carl and Dorothy Rose and brother-in-law Alf Baker.
A life-long resident of Mitchell, Darryl was active in his community. He was a former West Perth councillor and a member of the Ontario Ringette Hall of Fame. He enjoyed coaching ringette and later girls hockey. His passions included snowmobiling, spending time at the cottage and watching the Blue Jays. His grand kids were his pride and joy.
Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Monday, September 5, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow at the Lockhart Reception Centre. A recording of Darryl’s funeral service will be posted at LockhartFuneralHome.com.
