Darrell John Roy, of Miramichi, passed away at home on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at the age of 76.
Born in Miramichi, he was the son of the late Sylvie and Romaine (Saulnier) Roy, and he worked as an autobody technician before his retirement. He will be remembered for his sense of humour, his love of pool and playing the guitar.
He will be greatly missed by his daughter Patricia Roy (Robert Scarrow) of Kitchener, Ontario; son Richard Roy of Fernie, British Columbia; brother Richard Roy (Joan) of Miramichi; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many friends who were considered family.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters Sonia McKenzie, Mary (Trinkie) Roy, Eleanor Ramsay, and Barbara Russell.
In keeping with Darrell’s wishes, a Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 4 pm, at David’s house- 116 Fraser St.
Interment will take place in St Patrick’s Cemetery at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a memorial of one’s choice.
