Daniel Joseph “Jay” Boyle from the RK MacDonald
Nursing Home and formally from Croft passed away September 12 th, 2022
at St Martha’s Regional Hospital. At Jay’s
request, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or
service. A private family burial will take place at a later
date.
Born on June 2 nd, 1942 in Antigonish, he was the son of the
late Colin Francis and Catherine Ann (Duggan) Boyle of Caledonia
Mills. He was educated in the Caledonia Mills school system. He was an
iron worker having worked on various construction projects until
returning to Nova Scotia to retire in Croft.
He was always very active in nature and loved fishing and
hunting. He was also known for his wry wit and unique sense of humor.
He loved to tell stories and jokes laughing along with
them.
He is survived by three sisters, Christine Flynn (Nena),
Parkland, Jean (Wayne Cole), Liverpool, Mary (Chris MacDonald),
Toronto and one brother, George (Shirley) Caledonia Mills. He was
predeceased by brothers Angus and William A, sisters Anne and Patsy
and brother in law Greg Flynn.
