Danny was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on July 2, 1954 and he had a happy childhood growing up in Gladmer Park with his brothers Brian and Jim and his parents Herb and Vi (both deceased).
He enjoyed friends, baseball, hockey, to which he continued to play until he was 65. Danny married Susan Truscott in 1976 and his love grew from sports to his family. He was a good husband and a great Dad to his 3 children Jackson (Steph), Michael (Ruth) and Katie (Keith). He always felt very blessed to have a good relationship with his in-laws Wilf and Myrtle Truscott (both deceased). He enjoyed a great relationship with his brothers/sisters-in-law Ted and Pam, Pat and Sue, Brian and Kathy and also found a sister in Kathie Okamura (Gord). He absolutely loved being Grandpa to all 9 of his grandkids Isabella, Peter, Owen, Emma, Magnus, Oliver, Hamish, Fergus and Jones.
Danny had a long and successful career as a Railroad Engineer for CNR and made many good friends there. Although he loved sports and his family, his greatest love was Jesus Christ. He received Jesus Christ’s gift of salvation in 1994 and only grew to love Jesus, the church and his church family more and more. When Danny’s cancer turned terminal, his faith grew stronger and carried him through. To the end, Danny trusted the Lord until he was ushered into His presence on April 7, 2022.
A Celebration of Danny’s Life will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in Hillsdale Baptist Church, 101 Munroe Place, Regina, Saskatchewan. A luncheon will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, if desired donations can be made to Regina Wascana Grace Hospice, 50 Angus Road, Regina, SK S4R 8P6 where Danny spent some time. “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life.” – John 5:24 – Danny’s greatest wish in life was that those he loved would come to know his Savior.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Daniel Gordon Middleton April 7th 2022..
