Damaris E. Hawke (Née Virginia M. Riffel)
November 1, 1948 – November 17, 2022.
It is with a sad heart we announce the passing of our mother.
Virginia was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan. She was the eldest daughter, and third child (of 10). She raised her family in Saskatoon, enjoyed some time on Vancouver Island, and finally retired at B-Say-Tah.
Ginny loved her children and grandchildren. Joseph & Tracy Riffel (John & Rayann), Regina & Lyle Kreke (Darby & Carly), Laura-Anne Riffel (Dylan+Brooklyn), and Mark & Shelley Riffel (Justice+Emma, Jacey & Joley). Ginny also had many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She loved to work in her yard & garden, play cards, reading and writing, sharing family stories, knit & crochet blankets for the family…
She is predeceased by her parents Dr. John & Regina Riffel and siblings: Margaret, Marylou and Gerard. She is survived by her brothers and sisters: Tony (Anita), Tom (Linda), Jim (Lena), Phil, (Keith), Susan and Lorna.
You are loved. You will be missed.
A “Celebration of Life” service will be held at St Mary’s Parish, 2026 Winnipeg St, Regina, SK. Saturday November 26, 2022 at 1pm.
