Crew JoAnne Alease 2022

(Jan 8th, 1934-, August 6th, 2022)
Our sweet Mum, Joanne Crew has peacefully passed away at Hospice North Hastings. She will be deeply missed by her daughters Cindy, Laurie, Jackie and Carol Crew; her grandchildren Opal, Danny and Sophie Lewis; Sam Moffat; Desi and Roslyn Regan-Crew; James Pelley, Kurtis and Katrina Zwolinski. JoAnne moved to Oshawa from Michigan when she married Jack Crew. She lived in their home for 62 yrs. JoAnne had lots of big, fun family gatherings at her home and cottage. She loved playing with her grandkids, teaching them to swim, and play euchre at young ages. JoAnne was always trying something new. She went to Nursing school after her 5 kids were old enough. She enjoyed her career as an RNA, (especially when caring for the babies). She was a great cook, a baker, a gardener, a card shark, a skier, a skater and a walker in nature, a planner, a writer, and a close friend to a few. Just before the pandemic, she moved to Bancroft. She liked it at the Riverstone Residence, where she loved her new friends and gardens. JoAnne’s ashes will be interred beside her husband John (Jack) Crew, her daughter Lisa Jane Crew, and her granddaughter Sarah Alexandra Zwolinski, at the Mount Lawn Cemetery in Whitby. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Hospice North Hastings or North Hastings Community Trust would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to M.G. Daly Funeral Home, Maynooth.
