Corrine Elizabeth Anne Stephenson
December 19, 1931 – October 14, 2022

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Corrine Stephenson, 90, of Chester Grant, formerly of Dartmouth on October 14th in Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital in Lunenburg.
Born and raised in Dartmouth she was the daughter of the late Walter and Daisy Topple.
She worked at the Dept. of Motor Vehicles, Fairey Aviation and then as a secretary at Dartmouth High School, a job she loved, until her retirement.
She and Ron spent their weekends at their cottage in Chester Grant planting trees and flowers and making it a lovely place to gather with family and relax. Upon their retirement they moved there permanently.
Corrine loved Christmas and winter in general always being happy to see snow falling. She spent much of her time in retirement making lovely Christmas crafts. Feeding the birds and gardening were things she enjoyed. Her greatest joys came in having family picnics, going on car drives and the yearly family trips to Prince Edward Island.
She is survived by daughters Cheryl MacPhee, Dartmouth, Susan ( Larry Gordon), Hubley, sons Brian, Dartmouth and Donnie (Shelley), Lower Sackville, a brother in law Norman Stephenson, Cramlington, U.K., 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Ronald, just 8 months ago, brothers Donnie (Vivian), Wellesley (Betty), Clarence (Lorraine), Howard in infancy, sister Shirley in infancy, a daughter in law Judy Morash.
Our family extend our sincere thanks to the nursing staff on the A.L.C. unit at Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital. Their 7+ months of care and compassion shown to our mother and also to family members will never be forgotten.
Donations in her memory can be made to Hope for Wildlife.
Cremation has taken place under the care of T.K. Barnard Funeral Homes. Per her wishes, there will be no service. She and Ron will be interred together at a later date and a celebration of their lives held.
