It is with great sadness that the family announce the peaceful passing of Cornelis at the Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital on Sunday March 20th, 2022 at the age of 65. Born in Ridderkerk Holland and predeceased by his parents Cornelis and Hennie Schop. Much loved father of Jesse Schop (Katrina) and Kayla Schop (Zach). Proud Opa of Makenna, Hillary, Xander and Izabelle. Dear brother of John (Cathy predeceased), Arie (Regina), Francie (Wendy), Harry, Alfred (Cindy), Eric (Debbie), and Leo (Sarah). Cornelis will be dearly remembered by his family and friends in Canada and Holland. Visitation will be held at the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James St. E Orillia on Saturday March 26th 2022 from 11am until time of Funeral Service in the chapel at 1:00 pm followed by cremation.
