Cora Smith (Fransbergen)
Cora was predeceased by her parents, 2 sisters and her husband John. She is survived by “her girls” Corinne Smith and Yvonne Patel (Kapil), Grandchildren Alex and Emma Patel, her grand dogs Ginger and Gracie, 2 sisters, 2 brothers, several nieces, nephews and many cherished friends.
Cora was a remarkable woman, mom, sister, auntie, friend and ‘second mom’ to many. Her most cherished and honored role was as Nana.
Cora was strong, resilient, loving and stoic despite all of life’s challenges. She shared kindness and generosity to everyone she crossed paths with.
Her entrepreneurial spirit paired with her keen sense for a bargain, fueled her tireless work year after year, to maximize her charitable donations. She truly gave so much, with so very little.
Cora loved and cherished her family and friends, always putting them at the forefront of all that she did. They were her heart and soul. Her legacy of love, compassion and charity will forever be continued by those she loved.
In lieu of flowers, the family would invite you to consider a donation to the Christine Morrison Hospice-Mission Hospice Society or a Christmas Bureau/Food Bank of your choice in her memory.
Memorial service and reception will be held on Saturday October 22, 2022 at 1:00 pm in the River Room at Mission Best Western Hotel. 32281 Lougheed Hwy, Mission B.C.
