Van Leuvenhage, Colleen Cecile (October 6th, 1957 – June 18th, 2022) –
The Van Leuvenhage family is sad to announce the peaceful passing of our much-loved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, daughter-in-law, and friend, Colleen Cecile (nee Smith) Van Leuvenhage, a resident of Delhi, at the Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe, on Saturday, June 18th, 2022, at the age of 64. Much loved wife of 41 wonderful years, to Rick M. Van Leuvenhage, of Delhi. Always a proud and caring mother and grandmother to: Brent Van Leuvenhage; Tavis (Jessica) Van Leuvenhage, and their daughters Olivia and Charly. Survived by her sister Dale Smith, nephew Nathan Smith, brother-in-law Jerry (Sharilynn) Van Leuvenhage, of Delhi, and by her father-in-law and mother-in-law Frank and Juliet Van Leuvenhage, of Tillsonburg. Predeceased by her parents Cecile (nee Robitaille) (2020) and David Smith (1996). Colleen will be remembered by many for her years as an Early Childhood Educator and former Educational Assistant, working between several Tillsonburg Elementary Schools.
“The family would like to take a moment to thank the nurses and doctors of the St. Joseph’s Hospital, London (Rheumatology Centre) for their care during these past months, as Colleen battled with Scleroderma. Special thanks to Dr. Fernandez for his attentiveness and professionalism.”
In keeping with Colleen’s wishes, immediate cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Colleen’s Life will take place at the Royal Canadian Legion BR#125, Delhi, at a date and time to be announced in the summer of 2022. The Maurice J.
