Obituary of Colin Gerard MacDonald
MacDonald- Colin “Gerard”
August 18, 1972- December 24, 2022
It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Colin “Gerard” MacDonald on December 24, 2022. He leaves behind his wife and best friend of 31 years Cheryl (Nee Lachine). Proud and loving father of Colin (Sam), Samantha (Tristan), Sydney (Brodie). G was an avid animal lover and had a special place in his heart for his fur sidekick Lilo and his many fur grand babies.
Born in Inverness to Jessie Gillis (2010) (Bob) and his father Collie (2021) (Catherine) MacDonald. Remaining to cherish his memories are his siblings, Bobby (Joan 2021), Jocelyn (Wayne), Dale (Andrea), Kelly, Colleen (Kevin), Karen (Hayden), Angie (Preston), and John (2013). Gerard was the loving son in law of Gord and Mary Lachine, brother in law to Gord (Chan), Tom (Anita), Di (Roy), Bob (Steph). Forever Uncle G to his many nieces, nephews, and Godchildren and niece Ferrari (1994).
To everyone who knew G, it was known they were his extended family. He always was there to lend a helping hand because his “motto” was “Take care of your friends and family.” He will be greatly missed by all, but we would like to acknowledge his dearest friends, Jamie Meagher, Jerry Seguin, Michael Beaton, Jimmy Tellier, Kim Vanier, Snail, Rob Pawlowski, Doc O’Neil, Richard Strong and our hand picked neighbour Kennie Sawyer. The list could go on as we all know…….
In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made to Windsor Hospice, Ronald McDonald House or Fight Like Mason Foundation. A Funeral Service will take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd E on January 3, 2023 at 3:30pm. Visitation will continue and follow until 7:30pm. Online condolences and cherished memories may be shared with the family at www.windsorchapel.com
