Colby James Mallery
1944-2021
It is with great sadness that the family of Colby James
Mallery announces his passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, on
Wednesday, December 29th, 2021, at the age of 77. Born in Clones, NB,
on June 17th, 1944, he was the husband of the late Marlene (Webster)
Mallery of Midland.
Colby leaves behind his three daughters, Melissa Mehan
(Jeremy) of NB, Sarah Mallery (Neil Martin) of NS, and Katie Mallery
(Christopher Plourde) of BC; sister, Joan Gaunce (John) of NB;
granddaughters, McKinley & Malia Mehan. Colby was predeceased
by his parents, James “Jim” and Gladys (Pevlin) Mallery; and
wife Marlene (Webster) Mallery.
Colby was affectionately known as Dad, Daddy Bear, and
Grampie. He worked as a woodsman, and in farming, construction and
security. His passions were farming, maintaining his tractors, being
outdoors, hunting, fishing, his cats and German Shepherds but, most of
all, he adored his three daughters and family life. He was over joyed
with becoming a grandfather.
Special thanks to his home care and the staff of the Dr.
Everett Chalmers Hospital.
A graveside service will be held at the Upper Gagetown
Cemetery on Monday, June 20, 2022, at 1 pm with Rev. Jane Johnston
officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Colby’s memory can be
made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
