Clayton Penney
November 24, 1949 – April 9, 2022
It is with insurmountable sadness and heartbreak that we announce the peaceful passing of Clayton J. Penney of Paradise, age 72 years, in the early morning hours of April 9, 2022.
Predeceased by his parents Wallace and Marie; parents-in-law James and Ann Pynn; and many more family and friends.
Leaving to mourn his beloved wife of nearly fifty-two years, Bernice (nee Pynn); sons Clayton (Vicki) and James (Kelli); his four most precious Penneys: Joshua, Reegan, Jenessa and Ethan, whom he loved so much; brother Gary (Andrea); niece Krista; nephew Stephen; sisters-in-law: Bridget, Carol Ann and Bernadette (Leigh); brother-in-law Kevin (Elaine); and special friend Lorraine Martin and family, especially Jacki (Dean).
Clayton was a beloved husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was also a retired carpenter and member of local 579 Carpenters and Millwrights Union.
Special thanks to Dr. Tanweer Azher and special mention to daughter-in-law Vicki for her professional knowledge and support as we navigated these difficult times.
Cremation has taken place. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, 84 LeMarchant Road. Visitation to take place on Monday April 11, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held from St. Teresa’s Parish, 120 Mundy Pond Road on Tuesday April 12, 2022 at 9:30 a.m with inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Topsail Road. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Lung Association of Newfoundland and Labrador.
