Christopher Stephan Opavsky passed away peacefully, after a lengthy illness at home, and then at Riverview Gardens Nursing Home, Chatham, on Thursday June 16th, 2022, in his 59th year. Cherished son of Alice (Tomecek) Opavsky and the late Charles (2022). He is survived by his daughter, the joy of his life, Megan May Anderson-Opavsky, brothers Chuck (Jackie) and David (Darlene), and sister Stephanie Konecny (Martin). Also survived by his nieces and nephews. Special thanks for their care over many years to Dr. Kate Bailey, VON nurse Mary Beth Cadotte, and caregiver Lyn Reid-Barbour. Family and friends are invited to the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home, 245 Wellington St. West, Chatham, 519-352-2710, on Monday July 4th, 2022, with visiting from 10 am to 11 am, with a memorial service to follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 11 am.
