Perry: Christine Rose (nee: Harlow)
It is with profound sadness that the family of Christine Perry announce her passing. Christine passed away suddenly, but peacefully, in her home on Tuesday, March 15th, 2022 in her 61st year. Loving wife of 39 years to Michael “Mike”. Cherished daughter of Gary and Vivian Harlow, and daughter in-law to Paul and Jane Perry. Christine took the greatest pride in her three boys, Michael Jr. “Mike”, Stephen “Steve” (Kelly O’Donnell), and Kyle David Ryan (Mark Torres). She will forever be missed by her two grandchildren, Clarke and Lily. Wonderful sister to Karen (Glenn) Perry, and Brian (Lisa Reid) Harlow. She will be deeply missed by her many nieces and nephews, cousins, as well as her sister-in-law Lisa Crawford. She was a dear friend to Rhonda McCuaig and Kelly Campbell, along with her boating family at Happy Days Marina and throughout the Trent Severn Waterway. Family and friends were without a doubt the most important parts of her life. Christine graduated from Birchmount Park Collegiate Institute in Scarborough where she met Mike and thus began their 44 years together. As a couple they spent much of the earlier years building a foundation so their family could enjoy life to the fullest. First living in Scarborough, then Pickering, before establishing roots in the Kawartha Lakes. The family enjoyed time camping and participating in countless sporting events including curling, baseball, and hockey. Christine and Mike loved being at the lake where they enjoyed time on their boat. Her laugh could be heard for miles and was second-to-none. Christine was not afraid to share her opinion which led her to get involved in many community organizations including Pioneer Days and Canadian Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. She not only donated her time and effort, but also her blood, to people in need. She was a hard worker and made lifelong friends during her career in finance. Friends are invited to join the family at Ashburnham Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 840 Armour Road in Peterborough. Visitation from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday March 27th. Ceremony at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 28th with reception to follow. Memorial contributions to Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
