Cheryl Ann Ladd passed away peacefully on July 6, 2022 at the Rotary Hospice in Stratford, after a brief illness, in her 61st year.
Cheryl is the daughter of the late Jack and Gloria Ladd of Stratford. She was born in Stratford and spent 40 years of her life as a resident at the former Southwestern Regional Centre at Cedar Springs, Ontario. In 2007 she returned to Stratford to be closer to her family and was supported by Community Living Stratford at Norfolk and Gordon St. until her passing.
She is survived by her siblings Larry (Tracy), Allan (Penny), Gary, Rob (Shirley) and Darin (Patti). She was predeceased by her brother Michael Wayne (Linda).
Cheryl loved music, rocking in her chair, watching TV and visits with family and friends.
A huge thank you to Stratford and Area Community Living and all their compassionate staff (too many to mention) for the excellent care they provided for Cheryl over the years. Also, thanks to Dr. Kurtz and the caring staff at Stratford Rotary Hospice. In addition, we wish to extend a very special thank you to her niece Mackenzie, who provided loving support and guidance to Cheryl, family members, and her Community Living family during this difficult time.
A family interment will take place on August 15, 2022 at 11am, in Avondale Cemetery, Stratford. For those wishing to attend please meet in advance in front of the chapel, in the parking area just over the bridge on Avondale Ave.
