Cherry Lynn Dionne 2022

Obituary For Cherry Lynn Dionne
Cherry Dionne, resident of Clairmont, AB, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at the age of 72 years, after a year and a half long battle with cancer. And true to her stubborn and determined nature, she survived more than twice as long as the doctors gave her.
Cherry was born on December 13, 1950, to Charles and Phyllis Stewart of Bezanson, AB. From an early age it was apparent that her talent was more focused on hair than farming. After graduating from High School, she left for Marvel Beauty School and became a Hair stylist.
Cherry met Phil Dionne in 1970, and in 1972 they welcomed a daughter named Bobbi. Cherry owned many hair salons over the years: “Clip and Curl” and “Your Beauty Centre”, and finished her styling career working at “Basic’s Hair Care”. She also owned “Bobbi with the Basic’s Catering and Banquet Facility”. She enjoyed cooking for wedding and DJing dances (she was known as the DJing grandma).
Cherry is survived by her husband Phil; daughter Bobbi; granddaughter Cheyanne Loos (Benjamin Lesh); as well as brothers: Marvin (Jean), Shannon (Cathy), and Creston (Connie).
Cherry was predeceased by her parents Charles and Phyillis Stewart, and her aunt Frieda Tarrant.
A Viewing and Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022, from 1:00 – 3:00pm, at Oliver’s Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.). Interment to follow at 3:30pm, at Glen Leslie Cemetery (Range Rd 40, Bezanson, AB).

We offer our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Cherry Lynn Dionne 2022  and hope that their memory may be a source of comfort during this difficult time. Your thoughts and kind words are greatly appreciated.
