Peacefully at the Colville Manor in Souris on Friday, May 13, 2022, the death occurred of Cecile Teresa Holland (nee Provost). She was aged 90 years and formerly of Elmira, PE. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Georgie Holland and was a dear and caring mother to Anne Marie Peters (Blaine), Bernadine Roberts (Alan), Andy, Kelly Baxter (Kevin) and Shane. Cecile will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Chad, Crystal, Dana, Nicholas, Brittany, Natasha, Samantha, Alex, Kim, Melissa, Ashley, Andrew, Nikolas and also by her 15 great grandchildren.
Also to mourn her loss are her nieces Mary Walsh (Albert), Carol Provost (Régent), nephew Joseph MacDonald (Jane), sister-in-law Joyce Perry (David) and brother-in-law Emeric Holland (Helen). Predeceased by her parents John and Mary MacDonald, daughter Lorna Jean Conway and brother Charles Provost.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr, Malone and the nursing and supportive staff of the Colville Manor. The exceptional care and attention given to Cecile during her time at the manor will always be remembered.
Resting at Dingwell Funeral Home where visiting hours will take place on Monday, May 16, 2022 from 5-8pm. A funeral mass will be held at the St. Columba Roman Catholic Church, Fairfield on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at 2:00pm. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. If so desired, donations in memory of Cecile can be made to the Eastern Kings Health Foundation (Colville Manor) or the St. Columba Restoration Fund.
