Catherine Margaret (Spence) Mowbray
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Catherine Margaret (Spence) Mowbray age 86 on Friday May 20, 2022 with her loving family at her side.
Cathy was born July 10, 1935 in Timmins and relocated to Port Arthur in 1956 with her first husband John Spence. Together with John, Cathy enjoyed traveling the world, site seeing and meeting new people. After the passing of John and many years of healing, Cathy once again found love with Roger Mowbray who she lovingly spent the remainder of his life with.
Cathy could always be found working in her garden, singing her favourite songs or taking her dog for a walk. Above all else, Cathy loved to be around her family and great grandchildren who would bring a laugh and smile to her face.
Cathy is survived by her daughters Kathleen, Susan, Nancy (Glen),Corinne (Brian), Colleen (Lyle) Maureen (Glen), 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren & 2 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents William & Margaret, brother Richard, sister Anne, 1st husband John Spence, 2nd husband Roger Mowbray, son Jack & daughter Deborah.
As per mom’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service. A private family gathering to celebrate her life will take place.
