Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, August 26, 2022, at Bluewater Health, Catherine Ann Silverthorn passed away at the age of 68. Beloved wife of Ken. Loving mother of Jamie (Stephanie) Silverthorn of North Bay, Kevin (Larissa) Silverthorn of Sault Ste Marie, and Craig Silverthorn of Sarnia. Cherished grandmother of Ella, Griffin, Layla, Emery and Nash. Dear sister of Rick Phibbs of Sarnia and Sandy Button (Terry) of Sarnia. Loving aunt of Lorna Button (Andrew) and Christine Humble (TJ). Predeceased by her parents, Ron and Darlene, and by her brother Mark Phibbs. Cathy proudly worked for 20 years at her father’s store, Phibbs Valumart. She enjoyed 5 pin bowling for over 10 years. Cathy was creative, often working on a craft or on ceramics. She was an animal lover, and always had a loving pet. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Canadian Cancer Society or Hemophilia Ontario (cheques only at the funeral home please).
