Obituary
Carolyn passed away peacefully with dignity and grace with her loving family by her side at the Chapman House Hospice in Owen Sound on July 20, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Owen Sound, on February 13, 1947, Carolyn Marrisse Publuske (nee Greene) was in her 76th year.
Left behind to mourn her loss is her loving common-law partner Barry Kingshott, her loving daughter Shelly Publuske and her son Travis Publuske.
Cherished Nanna and great-grandmother to Tyler, Tyson, Skye and Montana Publuske whom was by her side till the end. Dear sister of Elaine Hill, Susan Goggins, Marilyn Kaul (Warner), and Kenneth Greene. Sister-in-law of Michael Dunston. Carolyn will be dearly missed by her many nieces and nephews, especially Lance Hill, Tammy Hill-Nickerson and Georgia Stanley. She is remembered by her many friends including Jason and Crystal Kingshott, LouAnn, Dave Poutney, her notorious Tim Horton’s clan and her great family friend Lynette Diaz and “The Farm”.
Predeceased by her former husband Robert Publuske, her parents Herbert and Priscilla Greene, her sisters Gloria Dunston, Priscilla Greene, her brother Herbert Greene, her granddaughter Ceara Publuske, her brothers-in-law Melvin Hill, Trunnis Goggins, Ted Publuske and her sister-in-law Julie Publuske.
Special thank you to Dr. GoPaul from the Grand River Cancer Hospital, Dr. Fenn and Dr. Sandu from GBHS, Chapman House Hospice and to Care Partners for the exceptional compassion and care towards our mother.
To honor her wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends are welcome to attend a graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery on August 2, 2022 at 1p.m. The family requests bright colors or hockey jerseys to be worn in memory of Carolyn. Arrangements are entrusted to the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492.
