Carolyn Gerhardt of Hanover passed away peacefully with her loving husband at her side at the Walkerton & District Hospital on Saturday, January 15, 2022.
Born in Garden Grove, Iowa to the late Ted and Lyda (nee Kauble) Williams.
Survived by her husband Richard “Dick” Gerhardt and son Timothy Owen McLain of Vancouver, B.C. Dear sister of Mary Lou Flora (Gary) of Loveland Colorado and James Edwin (Dorothy) Williams and sister in law Reta Williams both of Chariton, Iowa.
Predeceased by her brother Billy and brother Alva Everett and his wife Shirley and also two nieces. She also leaves behind fourteen nieces and nephews.
In honour of Carolyn’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services held.
We wish to thank all the nurses and staff at the Hanover, Walkerton, Mildmay and Owen Sound hospitals for all their kindness and Dr. Anjun and Dr. Sandu of Owen Sound Hospital and Dr. Yuremco of Victoria Hospital in London for all their help. Special note of thanks to Dr. and friend Lindsay Bowman “VGD”, of the Walkerton and Mildmay Clinic for her strength in helping us through these difficult times.
Inurnment in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Ayton at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover.
