Carol Linda Hunting
(June 24, 1954 – February 3, 2022)
Carol Linda Hunting beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at the UofA Hospital, Edmonton, at the age of 67.
Carol was born June 24, 1954, the eldest daughter of Harvey and Edna Germanick. She grew up with her three sisters on the family farm in Ferintosh.
After graduating high school in Edberg, she took a year of Education in Edmonton. She then moved back to Camrose and was working at the Camrose Canadian. While in Camrose she met the love of her life Ryan Hunting. On June 12, 1976, Carol and Ryan were wed. To this union two children were born, Trevor and Lisa, and together they made their family home in Forestburg.
Carol loved to be a presence in her children’s lives and was known to many of their friends as Mama Carol. She always made sure that her home was an open and safe place for anyone to come to even if it was just to have a chat. She loved to read. Her friendship, wit, and giggle will be missed by everyone who knew her.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Ryan; son Trevor (Rena); daughter Lisa (Jamie); two granddaughters Taylor and Claire; sisters Lois (Mark), Diane, and Terry (Peter). She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews, as well as, many life-long friends. She was predeceased by her parents Harvey and Edna Germanick; and in-laws Ken and Joyce Hunting.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 16, 2022 at the Forestburg Community Hall.
If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions in Carol’s memory may be made to the S.T.A.R.S. Air Ambulance , or to the Stollery Children’s Hospital , or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation .
