Obituary
Carol Anne Harper was born February 4, 1954 at Paradise Hill, Saskatchewan to Archie Paddy and Ann-Jane Harper. She passed away in Vancouver on August 16, 2022. Carol lived in Onion Lake in her early childhood life. She had one sister, Claudette Harper. Carol Anne attended R. C. School and was placed in multiple foster homes between 1960-1970. She was a loving, caring person and loved her family; her favorite cousin was Sara Harper, they enjoyed spending time with each other. She loved life, and enjoyed her life in Vancouver for the last 50 years. Carol loved to stay home. When she was young, she loved picking berries for her auntie, mom, Maria Cardinal and her sister. When Carol was 5 she was taken in by her aunt uncle and aunt, Arsene and Maria Cardinal. Carol Harper’s father, Archie Paddy was Mariann Dillon’s brother. As a result, Carol had a strong kinship with the Dillon’s of Onion Lake.
Carol leaves to mourn her passing: her son, Marcel; her sisters, Emma Cardinal of Onion Lake, Jean Whitford of Onion Lake and Suzie Cardinal Knox of Onion Lake; her brothers, Donnie Cardinal and Russel Pahtayken; her cousin, Sara Harper of Onion Lake; a special nephew, Marty Carter; and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is predeceased by: her parents, Archie Paddy and Ann-Jane Harper (both June, 1959); her uncle and aunt, Arsene (1982) and Maria Cardinal (March, 2000); her sister, Claudette Harper (2017); her uncle, Louis Harper (2004); her aunt, Madeline Harper (1989); her cousins, Shirley Harper (1996), Richard Harper (2008), Arnold Harper (2018), Elwood Harper (2003), Lesley Harper (1960), Emery Harper (1968), Donald Cardinal (2018), Dorothy Cardinal (2020), Hubert Cardinal (2012), Clement Cardinal (2018), Eric Cardinal (2017) and Irene Cardinal.
