Obituary of Carmine Antonio Pagliaro
Passed away peacefully at the Welland Hospital on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at the age of 86.
Much loved husband for 67 years to Rosaria “Sara” and cherished father to Angela (Mike Augurati) Costabile, Lydia (Norm) Look and Paul (Rosanna) Pagliaro. Loving Nonno of Santo (Kristina), Rosalie (Daniel), LeAnna (Eric), Daniel, Sara (Adam), Ashley (Anthony) and Alexandra, and dear great Nonno to Valentina, Mario, Guiliana, Sebastian, Jordan, Grace, Dante, Ophelia, Noah, Laylah, Mila and William. Survived by his siblings Rosa (late Carmen) Domanico, Vincenzo (Mary) Pagliaro and his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Tony worked for many years at INCO, retiring after 38 years. He was an active member of the Italian Canadian Cultural Centre and had a love for nature, gardening, wine making and was a prominent breeder of singing canaries. His love for his grandchildren and great grandchildren will be forever in our hearts. He was a wonderful father and husband and a pillar of strength to his family.
The Pagliaro family will receive friends at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held following the visitation at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, 375 Main Street West, Port Colborne at 1 p.m. with Father Peter Walton as celebrant. Rite of Committal to follow at Mount St. Joseph Cemetery. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to St. John Bosco Church.
