Carmela Caputo (née Perri)
July 20th, 1958 – November 20th, 2022
It is with profound sorrow and a sense of great loss, we the family of our beloved Carmela Caputo, announce her sudden passing, on Sunday November 20, 2022.
Left to cherish and honour her memory, her husband of 42 years, Mario Caputo; son, Vincenzo (Dr. Dana Mihalicz) Caputo; grandchildren, Alessia and Ilara Caputo; son, Adamo (Adriana Scanga) Caputo, and grandchildren, Graziano, Gianluca and Giuliana Caputo; siblings, Franco (Margherita) Perri, Alfredo (June) Perri, Carmelo (Elaine) Perri, Maria (Hector) Calista, Giovanni Perri, Concettina (Rick) Rago, and Vincenzo (Suely) Perri. As well as sister-in-law, Adrienne (Antonio) Perri; Carmela’s memory is also cherished and treasured by mother-in-law, Rosina Caputo, sisters-in-law, Rita (Vittorio) Vescio and Ivana (Eugenio) Pagnotta.
Adored and dearest auntie, to numerous nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends, in Canada, Italy and Germany.
Carmela is predeceased by mother and father, Rosina and Geniale Perri, infant brothers, Antonio and Giovanni Perri, brother Antonio Perri; and father-in-law, Vincenzo Caputo.
The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you, with much gratitude, to all the staff at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, for their kindness and compassionate care given to Carmela.
Prayer Service will be held on Friday, November 25, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. at Santa Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church, 9110 – 110 Avenue, Edmonton. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Santa Maria Goretti Roman Catholic Church with Reverend Father Roy Antony, CFIC officiating. Entombment will take place in Holy Cross Mausoleum, 14611 Mark Messier Trail, Edmonton, AB T6V 1H4.
