Carmel Mayou Quevillon 1938 2022

Obituary for
Carmel “Mayou” Quevillon
The family announces with great sorrow his passing on Friday, July 8, 2022, at the age of 84 years. Beloved husband of 60 years to Henriette (née Duval) Quevillon. Son of the late Omer and the late Simone (née Bernard) Quevillon. Loving father of Bruce Quevillon (Roxane) of Rockland and Sylvie Belanger (Jim) of Azilda. Dear brother of Marjel Quevillon (Denise) of Chelmsford, Alain Quevillon of Toronto and Odette St-Onge (late Richard) of Sudbury. Predeceased by his brothers Urgean “John” Quevillon (Ruth of Barrie) and Gilles Quevillon (Françoise of Barrie). Cherished Pépé of Joel, Shanel, Jesse, Carly and Annabelle. Great-grandfather of Xavier. Fondly remembered by Roxane’s children. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Mayou was raised in Noëlville where he met the love of his life. He was an extremely hard-working man and always willing to lend a helping hand. True jokester at heart, he was always trying to make others laugh and smile, even when he was suffering. Anyone who knew him knows the pain he lived with everyday and we could truly call him the strongest man in the world. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Mayou’s PSWs who cared for him with such compassion and love the last few years. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4691 RR 15, Chelmsford, Sunday, July 17, 2022, from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated Monday, July 18, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. at Paroisse St-Joseph, Chelmsford. Donations to a charity of your choice are greatly appreciated. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
