Obituary
It is with broken hearts we announce the sudden, unexpected death of Carl Wayne Jackson which occurred on Wednesday, May 4th, 2022. Born in Saint John, on April 13th, 1959, he was the son of the late Mary Lillian and Melvin Jackson. Carl will be missed for his larger than life smile and personality and his great hugs. He could always be found cheering on his nieces and nephews at their sporting events. Family was everything to him. He will be fondly missed by his hospital family from his time at SJRH.
Carl is survived by his cherished son Carl Jr. “CJ” whom he adored and was so proud of their special bond; brothers Larry of Saint John, Mac (Verna) of Rothesay, Paul (Aletha) of Quispamsis; sisters Diane Mullin (George) of Upham, Wanda Rioux (John) of Quispamsis; as well as several nieces and nephews whom he adored and they loved him dearly; his best friend George Touchakis whom they shared a special bond; as well as many friends. Along with his parents, Carl was predeceased by his brothers Joseph, Ralph, Peter and Richard.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Sunday, May 8th from 2 to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday, May 9th from 12 to 2 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service in the Fundy chapel at 2 p.m. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date. Donations in memory of Carl may be made to The Joshua Group or to the Boy’s & Girls Club.

My deepest condolences to the Jackson famliy on the passing of Carl, He will be missed by many, I have many fond memories of the Jackson family haven been around them for many of years, but I will always remember Carl’s big smile and how much love he had for his family and his friends RIP my friend.
Truly a gentleman in every sense of the word. A very warm and dear friend to our family. So sad to hear of his passing. My prayers and deepest condolences are sent to the family. May God send strength and comfort during this time of grieving.
