March 10, 1935 – August 28, 2022
Stanford was born March 10, 1935 in East St. Modeste, Labrador. He was the oldest child of Allan and Susannah Butt. Stanford was a quiet man who never married and had no children of his own, though he is fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews who thought the world of him. He enjoyed the outdoors to the fullest. In his younger years he excelled at hunting and always provided for his mom and the family. In his later years he made a good many trips over on the Boney Shore and up to the top of Tracy Hill, he continued daily walks until he was in his eighties. Overall he was a smart, active little man.
He leaves to mourn, his Sisters, Fannie Layden (Roland), Gladys Yetman (Leonard); Brothers, Steward Butt (Meta), Hubert Butt (Thelma), Harrison Butt (Peggy), Sterling Butt (Julia) as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
Stewart is predeceased by his Parents, Susannah and Allan Butt as well as his Sister, Effie Butt.
The funeral service is to take place on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 2:00 pm from the Gospel Hall in Red Bay, NL. Interment to follow. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Alicia Patey, Funeral Director.
