MACMILLAN, Burns Peter passed away peacefully on Friday, June 17 at John M. Parrot Centre in Nappanee after a brave battle with a lengthy illness. Burns was born on August 14, 1941. Dear father of Lori Rushlow (Shawn), Mark (Jennifer) and Linda Lisle (Mike). Grandfather to Liam, Kayla and Averi and Curtis. Beloved husband of Ester MacMillan and Step-father to Arjade. Son of Grant and Marcella (MacDonald) MacMillan. Loving brother of Jen, Grant and Ada. He was predeceased by siblings Violet, Charlotte, Mary and Angus. Loved uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Visitation on Monday, June 27 at McConnell Funeral Home in Tweed from 9 am-11am. Funeral service to follow in the chapel. Internment at St. Carthagh’s Cemetery in Tweed and reception to follow at McConnell’s. The family would appreciate donations to The Alzheimer Society or Tweed Heritage Centre.
