HOLDEN Burns John, 81, of Tavistock passed away peacefully at Stratford General Hospital on Monday, March 28, 2022.
He was born at Woodstock on November 15, 1940 a son of the late George and Florence (Kittmer) Holden.
He had worked with the Roads Department of the Township of Zorra, Oxford County.
Burns is survived by his wife, Mary Darlene (Harris) Holden whom married at Wellburn on January 27, 1962; son, David Holden; daughter, Darlene Holden; three grandchildren, Brendan Holden, Meagan Eaglen (Brent), Austin Holden; great granddaughter, Ophelia Eaglen; brother, Robert Holden (Helen); sister, Lila Ruth Fraser (Nelson).
He was predeceased by his great granddaughter, Ella Eaglen (March 2, 2020).
A family graveside service will be held at Townline Cemetery later in the spring.
