Obituary of Bud Hayes
Hayes Elmer “Bud” – May 14h 1935 – January 12th 2022
It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our Bud in his 87th year.
He filled our lives with happiness, smiles and love. He gave his heart and soul to all those he loved and met along the way.
Beloved husband to Judy (Spence) for almost 62 years (January 23rd 1960). A hero of a dad and Father-in-law to Rob and Bonnie (Andre) Courchesne. The light of his life, the best things that ever happen to him his Grandchildren, Matt (Giulia Ciuffreda), Addam (Jamie) and Arielle (Jake Mills) Courchesne. Robert and Rebecca (Cameron Rouke) Hayes. The babies who brighten his life his Great-grandchildren Peytonn, Addison and Delilah Courchesne. Baby brother to Bill (Judy) Hayes. Loved by his In-laws Jackie (Lloyd) Turbit, Laurie Campbell, Sandy Spence, Jim Spence and Mary-jo (Mike) Vanderlinden .
“Uncle Bud” to so many nieces and nephews, who he thought the world of and who were more to him than just nieces and nephews.
Reunited in heaven with his beloved daughter Kareen (July 4th 1976).His parents William and Alice Hayes, His Brother Gear (Jesse) Hayes, Sisters, Mary (John) Emmerson, Lola Hayes, Marg (Lloyd) Coveyduck, Bette (Gerry) Perkins. In-laws, Koop and Eleanor Spence, Kathy Spence, Pauline Spence, Erroll Campbell. And his much loved puppy Baxter.
Former member of the Halton Hills Volunteer Fire Department and the Georgetown umpires association. Fan of the Chicago Blackhawks and the Georgetown Raiders, he spent many Saturday nights in the stands watching the games. And later in life listen to the games on his little radio. But most of all he was a friend to all those that knew and loved him.
A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Jones Funeral Home, Georgetown. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the funeral service will be by invite only.
