Obituary
10 days following a shocking diagnosis, Bryan died at home in Bracebridge. He leaves his wife Marsha and a family they had blended with love over 34 years: Courtney (Pete), Melissa, Ben (Robin), Jay (Hélène), and Matthew. He also leaves his brother John (Collette). He loved any opportunity to spend time with his 6 grandchildren, both in Canada and the UK. Born to Bruce & Peggy Blain in Niagara Falls, he studied at the University of Waterloo and the Université de Paris, and subsequently followed his keen interest in the outdoors, teaching recreation leadership at Seneca College. Bryan & Marsha retired early to fulfil their dream of operating Blaincroft B&B in Gravenhurst, where he remained active in the local community until his death. We are so grateful to the fabulous nurses at South Muskoka Memorial, the wonderful palliative care team that allowed him to return home, and the overwhelming support of the Waterways Community. We will be celebrating Bryan’s life on Tuesday May 17 from 1:00-5:00 at The Muskoka Discovery Centre, 275 Steamship Bay Rd, Gravenhurst. Donations to South Muskoka Memorial Hospital or Kids in Camp would be much appreciated. Personal messages of condolence may be shared through www.cavillfuneralhome.com
