Bruce John Leggett

Born April 14, 1949 – December 29, 2021. Bruce lived and worked in many cities in and around British Columbia but settled January 2010 in Kamloops where he lived out the remainder of his life with John Atkinson and Kathy Roberts.
Rest in Peace my friend…it is with sadness that John and Kathy let all of Bruce John Leggett’s friends and family know that at 8:55AM December 29, 2021 Bruce passed quietly in his sleep. He went into Palliative Care Sunday December 26, due to a stoke in his sleep. We both loved and cared for Bruce at our home for many years. We are Grateful to Ridgeview Lodge in Kamloops for making his final days a beautiful experience. Bruce was so happy to be at Ridgeview where he had lots of room and privacy plus nurses and caregivers who treated him with respect and never hurt him. Ridgeview was clean and tidy and the staff spent lots of time with Bruce when I couldn’t be there. Thank you to all of his friends who came to see him and to Father Fred Weisbeck, and Chris Doherty who were lights in Bruce’s life. Bruce leaves behind two Daughters Kimberley O’Sullivan and Jennifer Zahar both from Abbotsford. Bruce also leaves behind his many grandchildren who met the world to him and referred to him as Papa Bear. Bruce has several siblings and had a special bond with his sister Denise. He is predeceased by his mom from Vancouver and his dad from Salmon Arm.
In leu of flowers and cards donations in support of Resident Programing and Activities at Kamloops Ridgeview Lodge Long Term Care facility can be made in Bruce’s memory.
