We are sad to announce that Shane Brophy has passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 31, 2022. After winning a first battle with throat cancer in 2020 he was now facing a battle with brain tumours which could not be won. He went on his own terms after a 4 week battle.
Shane was unfailingly the best husband, father, grandpa and friend. He was a generous and compassionate, always in the moment person. A bit rough around the edges but always to the point… his manner was to connect with those who crossed his path and made many life-long friends along the way. He loved to share his unique view on life.
He leaves behind his beloved Gabrielle, wife, friend and partner of 29 years, his eldest son Rory and partner Danielle, his beloved grandkids Caleb and Kinsley, which he treasured, his youngest son Clancy and partner Karmyn. His brother Wayne and wife Marge & their family from out west, as well as so many friends near and far.
He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
Shane’s wish was for everyone coming to be dressed casually mostly jeans …
After the gathering wanted to go eat a smoked meat! For those who want to come it will be at Moe’s.
